Lewis and Clark and Measure 49
September 22nd, 2007

Do you think these well-meaning Lewis and Clark kids realize that their very own college is pro-Measure 37? Well, I say “pro” because Lewis & Clark filed Measure 37 claims on close to 4,000 acres.
I have already noted how silly some of the arguments are in opposition to Measure 49, particularly the one where us voters may “shut down” a Washington County u-pick “farm”. Well, this blog comments further:
The Jossys letter says they are seeking 13 homesites when in fact they have already been approved for 23 and they have applied for about 30.
Actually, the claims they are referring to are only two of the Jossy’s seven Measure 37 claims, and they don’t even have a claim for 13 houses.
Please vote Yes on Measure 49!

YES! My wife and I voted FOR 49. We want to keep Oregon Oregon, with healthy farms and ranches. Too many destination resorts are being built in Central Oregon.
In reading today’s Bulletin (Bend), I saw the name Ben Unger who’s in charge of this campaign. There can only be one Ben Unger, Hilhi Class of 94, prize student of mine and a key delegate for Ohio in 92. Glad to see he’s politically active on on the right side.
